Park Place Bark is a Chicago based pet care service created solely for the comfort & safety of your best friend. We are here to make sure your pet is well cared for while you are out of town or at work. We always throw in a lot of love when we visit. Rest assured, at Park Place Bark we put your pet's care first and foremost.

  • Pet Tip: For misbehaving pets, shake a can filled with coins, or squirt them with 3 parts water and one part lemon juice.
  • Pet Tip: You wouldn’t think it, but 2 cats are better than one. They keep each other busy and make less trouble.
  • Pet Tip: If your cat isn’t using the litterbox properly, try moving it and/or changing litters.
  • Pet Tip: Make sure to study a breed you're interested in getting or you could be in over your head!
  • Pet Tip: Rescue is a great way to go when thinking about getting a new pet.
  • Pet Tip: Try leaving on music or Animal Planet as background noise while you’re away from your pets.
  • Pet Tip: Brushing your dog’s teeth every week will keep his/her breath fresh, and lower dental bills.
  • Pet Tip: Don’t de-claw. Trim your cat’s nails on a regular basis to keep your furniture looking good.
  • Pet Tip: Do your research before getting house plants. Some may be harmful to both cats and dogs.
  • Pet Tip: Elevated dog food bowls are great for large breeds. It’s more comfortable for them and it’s healthier too.
  • Pet Tip: Make your dogs crate into a comfortable den with blankets or a pad, and even a sheet over the top.

  • Pet Tip: Healthier pet food may cost more, but you will use less because it is high in nutrients.
  • Pet Tip: Bring treats on your walks. You never can practice obedience too much.
  • Pet Tip: Does your dog wolf down food too fast? Put it in a treat ball and make him/her work for it.
  • Pet Tip: Always use positive reinforcement to achieve the best behavioral results and build a bond with your pup!
  • Pet Tip: Try freezing peanut butter in his/her Kong to make it last longer.
  • Pet Tip: Give your pup a treat-filled Kong to keep his/her mind active.
  • Pet Tip: Run out of carpet cleaner? Try using sudsy dish soap with warm water!
